A multi-sighted biennial exhbition conceptualized, organized, and curated by Ahní Rocheleau

Rocheleau made her mark in Providence, Rhode Island conceptualizing, organizing and curating the biennial Art Against Racism (1989: The Langston Hughes Center for the Arts, the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Sol Koffler Gallery / 1991 Langston Hughes Center for the Arts, Brown University, AS220. Both Art Against Racism exhibitions broke hierarchal barriers between student/faculty, and community artist/college-affiliated artist. Subsequently, she served as Assistant Director of the Langston Hughes Center for the Arts; and the Founding Director and Curator of the Rhode Island Foundation Art.
