Collaborating artists from Medellín, Colombia requested of Ahní Rocheleau to consider creating a performance of the legend of La Llorona, given the statue of LaLlorona near Medellín and the toxified condition the Providence and Medellín Rivers held in common. for the video co-produced by Winnie Lambrecht, La Llorona walked along the Moshassuk and Woonasquatucket tributaries to the Providence River, gathered debris, hauled a grocery cart up the banks, and was gifted a Peruvian reed watercraft to paddle.
